On a corner plot outside Valencia that once held three separate dwellings, a single house is now being built.
The brief was simple: a future free of upkeep and division. One home, not three, where a family could gather rather than scatter. Two timber-clad volumes lean toward each other beneath sloped roofs, echoing the vernacular houses around them in a more abstract language. Between them, a glazed threshold opens to a walled garden, where a single olive tree stands as if it had always been there.
From the street the house reads as discreet, almost modest, a continuation of the block's rhythm rather than an interruption of it. But its geometry carries a private ambition: to hold a family's full life, and its later simplification, inside one coherent form.
This is architecture for a life stage, the moment three becomes one, and a home stops being managed and starts, again, to be lived in.
