<p><strong>Park of Science</strong></p>
<p>This project proposes a Park of Science that occupies entire area of Block 39 and unites various academic and scientific institutions on the site, with a goal to promote popularization of science. With present global environmental, economic and social issues, it is necessary more than ever to educate and involve the general public in order to inspire ordinary people to make more rational, responsable choices and live healthier lifestyle. The proposed master plan for Block 39 is an opportunity to create an urban environment that serves as a catalyst for popular education: a place where high science meets everyday life, where a dialog between advanced theoretical research and mundane practices is established to cross generate new practical concepts: a place that both inspire and educate lay people as well as bring scientific circles closer to present real life challenges. Site plan makes a departure from the rectangular urban grid of New Belgrade that was originally design by adopting the scale of movement by car, and brings back the human scale of walking, that allows casual encounters, interaction and socializing. The new, fluid, geometry of the Block 39 site plan is created by following the natural flow of people between traffic entry points on its perimeter and the new points of interest on site. These new points of interests are not merely locations of entrance to the new buildings – instead, each building is considered to be a source of influence that generates what in abstract terms might be called “force field” and in concrete urban design is materialized as an accompanying public space. This public park area that accompanies every scientific institution is a sort of its exhibition space which gives an opportunity to spread its influence by curating its ideas and presenting it to general public in a comprehensible way. The same way the various fields of science interact and affect one another, distribution and distorted circular shapes of public spaces in the block is  the result of the mutual influence between force fields that belong to the institutions on site. Each of these public spaces is considered to be a blend of natural (vegetation) and urban elements (pavement): paved paths meander through the natural landscape following the fluid trajectories of people&#8217;s circulation around the site. This somehow abstract design process uses means of architectural and urban design to visualize invisible and elusive process of how the new scientific ideas and discoveries spread out and become part of our culture: each domain of science doesn&#8217;t exist in isolation, but it has its field of influence that affects and is affected by other fields of science. And our culture is not a simple sum of all these individual fields of work, but a complex system that emerge when the ideas that are generated and circulating between these scientific circles start penetrating and influencing the daily life of society in general. Urban design based on attempt to materialize these abstract forces that spread ideas and “upgrade” doesn&#8217;t attempt to make a formal statement but more than anything else to create a physical environment where this movement and interaction of ideas can be accelerated, or at least the one that creates an opportunity for this interaction to happen.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>To intervene on an existing building, requires a deep understanding of its essential identity. The construction of Benalua station meant a landmark in the urban development of the city, which create a cultural and commercial union with all Mediterranean coastline ports from Adalucia to France. The redefinition of its new use is in a constant dialogue with the existing essence of the building. By regenerating its skin, we create new tissues and organs, which revitalize a new life in the building, but always maintaining its soul…, identity, its memory. The railway tracks materialize through an element as simple as two parallel lines, the abstract concept of movement, the union between locations, communication between people.</p>

"una brisa envolvente" - La presente actuación respeta la estructura de la pasarela existente redefiniendo su lenguaje estético para dotarlo de un dinamismo y una fluidez que trasladan al viandante el carácter innovador y contemporáneo de la ciudad de Alicante. Así, la unión entre castillo y mar se transforma en una amable curva envolvente que varía su sección a lo largo de la pasarela y acentúa el movimiento de todo el conjunto. Un acogedor gesto de bienvenida al mediterráneo.
El material translúcido empleado integra en su interior un sistema de iluminación dinámica programable mediante tecnología LED capaz de variar su tonalidad durante la noche. Los colores soft emitidos, que cambian con cada estación, refuerzan los perfiles limpios de la pasarela. Su reflejo en el cristal de la barandilla transmite un estudiado equilibrio entre lirismo
y tecnología. Todas las noches, Alicante señalará al mar mediante un moderno trazo de luz.

Volumetry chosen to maintain the independence of the different uses of nursery and primary school, is building a series of separate volumes, which between them are creating a series of courtyards, visually communicated to each other, but not accessible.<br />
This type of solution provides more guidance always seek the best for general classrooms and create interior spaces that are always well lit and ventilated.<br />
The various volumes that make up the project, will materialize as boxes at different heights, which contain independent uses. The axis that runs through the center from the main entrance, it becomes the backbone of the entire project, on which a succession of different volumes, parallel or perpendicular to it.</p>

		<description><![CDATA[(español) Nuestra propuesta para la plaza del mercado, trata toda la superficie del proyecto como un gran espacio para el pueblo. Un amplio abanico de espacios con usos y caracteres propios y con el ambiente adecuado para llevar a cabo una serie de  actividades específicas.
La idea de gran mercado abierto sobre el espacio público genera una complejidad en los recorridos de los viandantes. La fluidez del espacio permite recorrerlo y vivirlo de diferentes maneras. De esta forma, los bajos comerciales existentes en los edificios de la plaza, se incorporan a nuestro proyecto de mercado y permiten ampliar así el área de intervención.
La plaza del mercado constituirá un gran espacio público dinámico y funcional, que con sus diferentes usos y actividades favorecerá las relaciones humanas y mejorará la calidad de vida de los ciudadanos. La historia de los pueblos se escribe en sus plazas.

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Our proposal for the market square, is the whole project area as an area for the people. A wide range of uses and spaces with its own characteristics and the environment for carrying out a series of specific activities.<br />
The idea of a large open market on public space creates a complexity in the paths of pedestrians. The fluidity of space allowed to cross it and live it in different ways. Thus, the low existing commercial buildings in the plaza, are incorporated into our draft market and allow to expand the area of intervention.<br />
The market square will provide a great public space dynamic and functional, with its different uses and activities promote human relations and improve the quality of life of citizens. The history of peoples is written in their seats.</p>
