To intervene on an existing building, requires a deep understanding of its essential identity. The construction of Benalua station meant a landmark in the urban development of the city, which create a cultural and commercial union with all Mediterranean coastline ports from Adalucia to France. The redefinition of its new use is in a constant dialogue with the existing essence of the building. By regenerating its skin, we create new tissues and organs, which revitalize a new life in the building, but always maintaining its soul…, identity, its memory. The railway tracks materialize through an element as simple as two parallel lines, the abstract concept of movement, the union between locations, communication between people.

“a breeze envelope – contemporary architecture design” – The intervention follows the structure of the existing runway redefining its aesthetic language to give it dynamism and fluidity that transmit the innovative and contemporary character of the city of Alicante. Thus the union between the castle and the sea becomes a nice envelope curve that varies along its section of the gateway and accentuates the movement of the whole. A warm gesture of welcome to the Mediterranean.

The shell is made of a translucent material with programmable lighting system using LED technology that is able to vary its hue at night. The cast soft colors that change with each season, clean profiles reinforce the gateway. His reflection in the glass on the railing transmits a careful balance between lyricism and technology. Every night, Alicante bring to the sea a modern streak of light.

The school project is located on a rectangular plot, where only one side opens closer to a main road. Volumetry chosen to maintain the independence of the different uses of nursery and primary school, is building a series of separate volumes, which between them are creating a series of courtyards, visually communicated to each other, but not accessible.
This type of solution provides more guidance always seek the best for general classrooms and create interior spaces that are always well lit and ventilated.
The various volumes that make up the project, will materialize as boxes at different heights, which contain independent uses. The axis that runs through the center from the main entrance, it becomes the backbone of the entire project, on which a succession of different volumes, parallel or perpendicular to it.

Nuestra propuesta para la plaza del mercado, trata toda la superficie del proyecto como un gran espacio para el pueblo. Un amplio abanico de espacios con usos y caracteres propios y con el ambiente adecuado para llevar a cabo una serie de actividades específicas. La idea de gran mercado abierto sobre el espacio público genera una complejidad en los recorridos de los viandantes. La fluidez del espacio permite recorrerlo y vivirlo de diferentes maneras. De esta forma, los bajos comerciales existentes en los edificios de la plaza, se incorporan a nuestro proyecto de mercado y permiten ampliar así el área de intervención. La plaza del mercado constituirá un gran espacio público dinámico y funcional, que con sus diferentes usos y actividades favorecerá las relaciones humanas y mejorará la calidad de vida de los ciudadanos. The project proposed to meet this new school in the maritime district of Malvarrrosa, a few meters from the sea, can be defined as a sequence of units that will fit together and forming a series as a comb.
The gaps created in this sequence, leading to the different courtyards, gardens and recreation areas, which no doubt will shape the identity of this school.
The main reason for choosing this type of titration, is to always seek the best direction for the classroom and to create interior spaces that are always well lit and ventilated.
The various volumes that make up the project, will materialize as boxes at different heights, which contain independent uses. A main axis runs from south to north across the center, and serves as the backbone of the entire project.

The Elementary School and kindergarten San Juan de Ribera, has a capacity of 3 units of Early Childhood Education, 6 units of Elementary and dining. The project has U-shaped, leaving his side open, a listed building in the twenties that must be preserved. This form, which strengthens the provision of block of the sprawl, are able to host or within the areas of games and sports.
In the north wing, are preparing the dining room, kitchen and sports. In the central body lies the administration area, parallel to this, an open corridor to the courtyard leads to the child zone, located on the south side. On the first floor are located all primary school classrooms, library, computing.

The vertical communication cores are placed in both corners of the U, thereby allowing smooth articulation of the parties.
The project pays special attention to the guidelines, the classrooms and look for the north east, which are more appropriate taking into account local conditions. These facades will opt for a modular system allowing defenestration explore different possibilities of materials.
